OBSERVATIONS
Recently went to one of the local Wal Marts to pickup some groceries and in the pickup spot where I parked to wait for our groceries to be brought out, I had a clear view of the entrance/exit (The second one was closed off.) As quite a few were in the pickup section it was a longer wait than usual. Observing those entering and exiting, it seemed that about 60% were wearing masks and the rest were not. It appeared that most of the older folks were wearing masks, but of those not wearing, no one age group stood out.
A day or so later I was at another grocery store, and within the store I did not see a single person without a mask. Not implying anything negative about Wal Mart, but just wondering why people won’t wear a mask when they are out among others.

Seems like more and more electric powered vehicles are being introduced. I’m thinking it is going to require a lot of oil, natural gas, and coal to be burnt to keep these things charged up. And these vehicles are going to reduce carbon emissions and prevent global warming?

In a recent New York Times they reported that the Russians had made a deal with the Taliban to pay a bounty for Americans killed by the Taliban. The article also stated that President Trump had been briefed, but had taken no action against Russia. Trump denied ever being briefed along with the VP and Trump’s chief of staff. The same old media mob joined with the NYT and the Democrat Party condemning Trump for doing nothing. Both Russia and the Taliban denied any such deal. Now who to believe. The NYT, the media, the Democrats or the Russians and Taliban? I think I’m going with Russia and the Taliban.

Why is it that I can buy bananas which are brought in from Central and South America for a third of the price of tomatoes grown within 50 miles of me?

After giving glowing remarks when Obama and Sanders visited Mt Rushmore, it suddenly, with Trump’s visit, became racist and built on stolen land according to CNN. Just a thought, but wouldn’t the same apply to facilities occupied by CNN – racist and stolen? Maybe they could set an example by burning their facilities, returning the space back to the Indians, and move to Cuba or Venezuela where they would fit right in.
Vents
Picking up on the mask/no mask situation. I don’t know what is going through the minds of those who choose not to follow the health guidelines of wearing a mask and keeping a certain distance from others, but I think they are being plain stupid. They could be asymptomatic and they pass the virus on to an elderly person who winds up dying because of their actions. That is the height of irresponsibility. Wear the mask or stay the recommended distance. Or do both. Positive cases are rising because of stupid people doing neither.

Our butterfly garden is looking pretty good this year so far.
Haven’t seen any many butterflies or bees visiting, but perhaps it’s a bit early. The black object splitting the pictures is part of a humming bird feeder. I’ve had it up for several months and have seen few visitors. I’m tired of cleaning the feeder and cooking up the brew to no avail, so I’ve taken the feeder down for awhile. When the little buggers start coming around looking for a free meal, I’ll put it back up.
