We recently had our photo taken for the latest edition of the church pictorial directory. Over the years we have accumulated a number of these photos, so when the latest arrived I took all the ones I could find and laid them out in chronological order. Good grief. As I looked at them, I was aging right before my eyes. Not pleasant viewing I can assure you.
I thought about it a bit and then I rearranged them in reverse order. Now, as I scanned them from left to right, something miraculously happened. I became younger.
I don’t know if there is any moral to this story, but perhaps a lesson. If things don’t seem to be going in the right direction, maybe I should look at it from a different perspective. Now I obviously didn’t really get younger by moving the photos around, but I did feel a bit better about the whole thing.
